Jodi's Week 3 Recap

I ran both of my 2 mile runs, but missed my big 5 miles on Saturday.  I had a party on Friday night & Early morning temple trip Saturday & so it didn't happen.  Tomorrow I meet with my personal trainer.  She will come every Tuesday and so now I can be better at actually doing my cross-training days.  I haven't heard from anyone in a while.  How is running going for you?  My left shin hurts & it's worrying me.  Hope it doesn't bring me down.

Jodi's week 2 Review

I was able to do all my runs outside this week which made a big difference.  But after Saturdays run (which was really hard for me) my shins are hurting me & I worry I'm going to get shin splints again. :(
I need to be better about doing something on my cross-training days.  I have been not so good in that area.

Jess's Weekly Recap

Jess's Weekly Recap:

Monday- Worked in Arizona 8AM - 8:00 PM then off to dinner, no time for workouts
Tuesday - Got up at 3:30 AM to fly home and then worked until 6:00 PM = exhaustion, no workout
Wednesday - Worked from 7:30 AM until 7:00 PM = another exhausting day, no workout
Thursday - ran 3 miles
Friday - no workout
Saturday - ran 5 miles

I need to work more on my workouts and less on my real job. Where's the balance? Does anyone else find it hard to work in the runs in your daily schedule?

Also read this on their website:

The 10K and Half Marathon include one major climb

and the Half continues with rolling hills to the finish

10K & Half Marathon are roughly 50% on paved trail

and 50% on fire trails.

I better start running some hills around here to be ready :)

Sticking with it

It has been great having Erik to train with & help keep me on track.
Last week (week 1 for us) was a success!! Even Saturday night we took turns running 3 miles on the treadmill at 11:00 p.m. because we couldn't miss it. (I hated every minute on that treadmill)
This past Monday we ran 2.25 miles together in the evening & it was the best run I've had.(10:30 mile-nonstop)  We both even felt like we could run more, but I didn't want to injure my shins. I love running with Erik!  How is everyone doing?

Sabrina's Monday

So my goal was to run 5 miles today and by the time Jon got home, dinner was served, and Emmy was laid down to bed, when I got to the track it was getting dark. And the dark makes me nervous when I'm alone. My mind wanders and I get....ok scared! So I tried to run quickly to get in as many miles as I could before it got too dark. Luckily there were two ladies walking the track so I got to run 3 miles in 37 minutes. I still feel good and am happy I got out. How is everyone doing?? HAPPY RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!
